massa takemoto

was born in Japan. He started playing piano at age 4 and composing songs at age 15. When he reached 19, he had come over to U.S. to explore his musical dreams and collaborated with varied genre of musicians. He toured Southern California to Utah as a member of the band called "May Pole (currently, 880 records)", nominated for "the best out of region band" at Orange County Music Awards in 2002 and received "the best original song award" at Online Rock Festival 2002. Besides those awards and nomination, he, himself had also opportunities to perform at big music festivals and TV shows as a support member of a band and solo artist. After 10 years of musical experience in the U.S., He found his own spiritual connection with music and left "pop/rock" scene and released his solo project called "Spiral Lounge - future paradise -" in 2003. The song "Forever" (from "Spiral Lounge") was rearranged for "Manners Therapy Sound" and released from MTI entertainment in 2005. In the same year, he stareted "Republic of Cosmic Love Experience (improvisational electronic jam band) and toured Japan and released self titled EP. In 2007, he released his conceptual solo album "desert island mix".

and now he is working on the sound track for the movie "a taste of kiss", which will be coming out next year (2009). also, he is planning to release albums later this year or next year.

"Everybody thinks that elements of music is rhythm, melody and harmony ... Sure, I don't deny that and I used to think it that way, too. However, now I take music as cosmic language if you know what I mean ... so let's Rock'n'Roll!!"

Spiral Lounge - future paradise -

Music of "Spiral Lounge" was inspired by the universe of its reputitiousness and the harmony. On top of its "dance/club" like groove, "Spiral Lounge" had accomplished to layer the classical music phrases without killing its harmonies and dynamics. Synthesizer and the drum samples were used a lot of times to create "club music" like atomosphere. However, you can still feel "organic side" in the music(cd).
